CMAD 115 - Certified Medication Aide (CMA) 4 Credit Hour(s)
This course is designed to teach the concepts of correct medication administration as approved by the secretary of health and environment for the purpose of administering medications in a long-term care facility under the supervision of a professional nurse or a licensed practical nurse.
Prerequisite(s): The student must hold a valid nurse aide certificate issued by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. A person holding a valid nurse assistant certification inscribed with the word “limited” will not be eligible to enroll in a medication aide course. The student must be at last 18 years of age and have successfully completed four years of high school or have a GED Diploma.
