A program that prepares individuals to assist in providing general nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse, physician, or dentist. Includes instruction in taking patient vital signs, applying sterile dressings, patient health education, and assistance with examinations and treatment.
To complete the Associate in Applied Science Degree, general education requirements must be taken from the list approved by the CCC General Education Committee (see college catalog). The Practical Nursing and the Registered Nursing credit hours, and the general education credit hours must total at least 66 credit hours in fields outlined in the catalog.
