CMAD 299 - Certified Medication Aide Update (CMA Update).

This course provides the student with a review of the basic principles and skills of medication administration. Information from these medication topics will be reviewed: new classes of drugs and new drugs, new uses of drugs, new methods of administering drugs, alternative treatments such as herbs, acupuncture, interaction with traditional drugs, and documentation. Successful completion of this course will provide the required 10 continuing education for renewal of the CMA certificate. The course must be taught by a Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services approved instructor.
