Students will receive hands-on experience working with Wide Area Networks (WAN) and Local Area Networks (LAN), and learning to troubleshoot technical problems. Students will be given instruction in the skills necessary for dealing with customers and customer networking problems in a business situation. Instruction will prepare students for industry-recognized certifications, including A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Associate (Exam 70-740 and 70-742), Linux+, Security+, and Certified Ethical Hacker.
To complete the Associate of Applied Science Degree, general education requirements must be taken from the list approved by the CCC General Education Committee (see college catalog). The Information Systems Technology credit hours and the general education credit hours must total at least 66 credit hours in fields outlined in the catalog. The Information Systems Program AAS Degree requires a minimum of 18 credit hours of general education coursework.
