A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to plan, manufacture, assemble, test, and repair parts, mechanisms, machines, and structures in which materials are cast, formed, shaped, molded, heat treated, cut, twisted, pressed, fused, stamped or worked.
General education requirements must be taken from the list approved by the General Education Committee (see college catalog). The Precision Machining Technology credit hours and the general education credit hours must total at least 66 credit hours. The Precision Machining Program AAS Degree requires a minimum of 18 credit hours of general education coursework.
